Welcome to West Berlin Presbyterian Church’s Toddler Time Page.
Toddler Time resumed January 12th, 2022 and will be held weekly on Wednesdays. Follow our Facebook page for Toddler Time updates and notifications. Click on the Facebook icon to visit our page.
Please note sessions will be responsive to CDC guidelines for maintaining the health of all participants. A full statement of the church guidelines as implemented at West Berlin Presbyterian Church is included at the end of this page.
Are you:
- Looking for a supportive community of like-minded caregivers of young children?
- Hunting for an indoor activity for you and your toddler-aged children (3 and under)?
- Interested in learning more about your children in a child friendly, caring environment?
- Seeking more knowledge of child development and, better yet, how to apply child development to your care-giving on a day to day basis?
- Desiring a small group environment of caregivers and children to learn and play with?
- Willing to help others by following CDC-Covid guidelines including vaccination and mask wearing for those over 3?
Then welcome to your solution! Our church has partnered with Yvonne Gustafson, PhD to bring an outreach program to provide an educational, safe, and fun space for caregivers and their pre-preschool kids (3 and under).
What should I expect?
- 10:00 am- Start time (note this is flexible as everyone knows how difficult it can be with small children)
- 10:00-11:00 am - There will be activity stations set up at the church that children can explore. This gives both caregivers and children a chance to make and meet friends.
- 10:30 am (approximately)- When children are engaged, Yvonne Gustafson, PhD will facilitate open discussion to support better understanding of living with and loving very young children. Example topics include how to handle a holiday, dealing with shared spaces, normal nap schedules, meltdowns and other normal developmental challenges. Handouts may be included to review later.
- 11:00 am - 11:30 am - Cleanup time (modeling for our toddlers how to pick-up their play spaces), storytime, and shared music time, wrapping up our time at 11:30am.
How much does it cost?
No fees are required. Non perishable food donations are welcome to support the Open Table Food Pantry.
How do I sign up?
